MONSTERS of the DEEP

Nathan Haines and Jonathan Crayford are perhaps two of our most travelled International musicians. The pair have collaborated with countless producers, and artists around the world for the last two decades, as well as both producing career defining albums that have been released internationally.

By some strange twist of fate and divine providence, both now reside in our fair South Pacific Isle.

Friends for over a quarter of a decade, the pair first played together in New York City in the early 90’s.

“Monsters of the Deep” is their new collaborative effort which sees them experimenting with their own signature sounds and ideas alongside veteran drummer Mickey Ututaonga and bassist Marika Hodgson.

Nathan teams up with brother Joel Haines and keyboardist Jonathan Crayford for a special outdoor concert at Rotorua's Rainbow Springs complex.

Local drummer Mickey Ututaonga will be joining Karika Turua on bass - Mickey was part of Nathan's original "Shift Left" band from 1994, which saw Nathan's debut album hit Gold sales in New Zealand and was released in the UK on Verve Records.

Nathan and the band will be debuting material from Nathan's eleventh solo album due for release later in 2017 and will be Nathan's first album produced exclusively in New Zealand after his recent return from UK shores. Expect to hear some new singles soon!
